Colorado is the land of outdoor adventure. Summer brings us weather perfect for hiking and rock climbing, while the colder months bring us the joys of powder days on the slopes. Also, don’t forget the brave souls who power through all kinds of weather to cycle across the beautiful Colorado landscape, rain or shine. With all of that activity, it’s safe to assume those who do so are at least a little bit athletic. You probably spend lots of time in the gym, watching what you eat, and getting the right amount of sleep (it’s called being healthy, we think). Just thinking about doing all of that is exhausting, and it makes us a little hungry. The Lazy Dog team thinks you deserve to indulge a little bit, so let us tell you why you should put down the chicken and rice and convince you that a cheat meal at our sports bar is good for the body and soul.

“Clean” Can Get Tedious

We are strong advocates for living healthy and we think we do a good job at it ourselves. However, we know that counting calories and weighing ingredients can be one of the most tedious parts of your life. It can be a relief to sit down, look at a menu, and find something you know to be good for you and delicious. Let us take care of a meal for once; you sit back, socialize, and enjoy the game.

Beer has Vitamins!

Yep, it’s true. Beer contains B12, B6, and niacin (aka B3), so you are really supplementing your vitamin intake with a cold one. Apart from that, drinking beer (if you are on a low-carb diet) can help spike your metabolism because of the sugars. That helps prevent any sort of weight-loss plateaus you may encounter on a highly strict plan.

Rewards for Discipline

Sure, seeing your body change and your athletic prowess increase is a reward in and of itself. However, you know that at the end of a long week, a burger or plate of wings sounds way better than tilapia and broccoli for the fourth time. If you have been on track for an entire week and your CrossFit® group wants to go out Saturday afternoon, that is the perfect time to put the diet on hold for a meal and just eat.

The Lazy Dog Sports Bar and Grill is here to make your dining experience something to talk about. From cyclists to weight lifters, we promise our food is delicious and right for you, cheat meal or not. Stop by to check out our menu and our daily specials and events!
